He may not be the official mascot of Myasthenia Gravis, but honestly… he understands the assignment.
Living with MG often means learning to do life differently. Some days the muscles cooperate. Some days they don’t.
Strength can change from hour to hour, and ordinary things like walking, talking, chewing, swallowing or simply getting through the day can suddenly require a whole lot more effort.
That is why I chose the sloth for Tame the Dragon.
He doesn’t rush because the world tells him to.
He conserves his energy.
He rests when he needs to.
He adapts.
And most importantly, slow does not mean weak.
For me, he has become a slightly cheeky reminder that with MG, pacing isn’t giving up — sometimes pacing is exactly how
we keep going.
So whenever you see our little sloth holding that teal MG ribbon, think:
Different pace. Same person. Still moving forward.
Tame the Dragon. 🦥💙
